The Cavite Coffee Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative
The Cavite Coffee Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CCGMPC) is a duly registered multi-purpose cooperative with the Cooperative Development Authority with registration no. 6274 and with office address at the National Coffee Research, Cavite State University, Brgy. Bancod, Indang, Cavite. CCGMPC’s formation and organization was one of the major accomplishments of Cavite Coffee Development Board (CCDB), a cohesive body bestowed with a legal mandate to work on coffee revitalization in Cavite. CCDB was created by the Executive Order No. 019-02, chaired by the Provincial Governor and composed of eleven (11) members representing various agencies/groups working on coffee. It was tasked to serve as the provincial government’s chief advisor on all matters affecting the development and progress of the coffee industry and to regulate and supervise the Cavite coffee industry.
After its registration on March 8, 2005, CCGMPC ventured in the supply of coffee production inputs to members, market their produce for local and export, and engaged in processing into coffee brewing as an added value. Such activities are clearly stipulated under and in accordance with the Articles of Cooperation and by-laws.
A model organization of coffee farmers who is independent, solid and dedicated to the upliftment of the industry, not only in Cavite but to the whole nation.
Represent and defend the interest of coffee growers and other dependent on the industry towards improvement of the social life and economic status by:
Cooperative marketing of coffee and other farm products
Centralized procurement of farm inputs
Provide training and education programs
Provide savings and credit services
Promote superior coffee quality through proper recommended production techniques and processing.
Provide free warehousing facilities for coffee produce.
The goal of Cavite Coffee Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CCGMPC) is to be a model organization of solid and dedicated coffee farmers working hard for the upliftment of the industry, not only in Cavite but for the whole nation, as well. The CCGMPC shall help the nation achieve self-sufficient in coffee with the best quality while being cost competitive with other producing regions.The mission is to represent and defend the interest of coffee producers and others who are dependent on the industry to improve their social life and economic status. The cooperative shall strive to assure profitability to small farmers and industry sustainability.
1.Strengthen the organizational capacity of the cooperative to be able to comply accurately\timely with its administrative\ reportorial responsibility to the Cooperative Development Authority;
2.Establish CCGMPC’s financial stability;
3.Engage aggressively in CCGMPC’s business activities to help augment farmer-member’s income.
